Bubba-Bolo: The Discovery of the Wizard

Hi, I am Bubba-Bolo. I am a dog. I am gold and have blue eyes. I am 10 in people years. I belong to a girl named Katie Rama. She has blond hair and is 10 years old.

It was a hot summer day in summer. I was sleeping in my doghouse when Katie sprayed the spray bottle at me. (I am afraid of the spray bottle). I woke up quickly. Katie sadly said ‘sorry’ and told me she was leaving town. She said she was going for a family trip to Italy (I can’t go, because I get car sick easily).

After she left, I raced down to the pet store (a.k.a. where I used to live). I was going to see my friend, Chuck the penguin. But when I got there…the manager was on the phone saying, ‘Chuck has been moved to the zoo, because I can’t keep a penguin in the pet store.’ I walked out mad. I was so made I ran a cat up a tree.

So I walked up the street, you know with my arms and feet on the ground. It was pretty bumpy. I went into the zoo doors. I walked all around looking for Chuck. Finally I found him.

“Bubba-Bolo!” hollered Chuck.

But when I tried to hug him, the metal bars were in the way.

So I sadly said, “Good-bye.”

Next, I went to the market to get some free doggy bones. The manager, Joe, gave them to me. I love them so much. I eat them drooling. Then I walked home and looked in the mailbox for the newspaper.

Then I saw a letter written in doggy language that said my name on it. I opened it up and it was from my family—my mom, dad, sister, and brother. They said there was a bad flood that had poison in it.

I forgot to mention that only dogs know it, but I am a puppy wizard. I have a blue hat with stars on it with the red robe and everything, just like Mickey Mouse. I can also talk. My family lives in doggy dreamland. I use to live there too, but I moved to Earth.

So I went to the zoo and talked to Chuck in human for the first time in a long time (Chuck can talk human too, somehow?). Chuck is very smart and built a flying machine to go to doggy dreamland. I brought it to the field on Fifth St. Nobody was there, so I jumped the fence. I sat in the chair. Then I pressed the buttons and soon I was in space.

In a matter of minutes, I was at doggy dreamland (because the machine was so fast). It looked like a giant ball of water that was green. I quickly tried to find my family. It took about an hour, but I finally found them. They looked so different.

I said, “Get in quickly.”

“OK!” They all answered nervously.

They all ran into the spaceship. Soon we were home and Kate was home, too. I told her about me being a wizard and about my family in human language.

Then Katie said, “They can stay with us.”

I jumped in her arms and licked her.

“Thank you,” I joyfully said.
