How to Say NO

Dear Diary,

Hi, I’m Katie. I have brown hair and blue eyes. My parents are divorced and I live with my dad and my dog Bubba-bolo. I think he can talk. My favorite color is pink.

At school, I have too many friends and I can’t say ‘No.’ I talked to my dog and he said, “Just say No.”

“Hi,” said Katie to her friend, Mary.

“Hi,” said Mary.

“I have a question.”

“Yeah,” said Mary.

“You know how everybody wants to be my friend. Well…I can’t say No.”

“Just say it. It will make life better.”

“Thanks, Mary.”

“Why?”

I said, “NO!!!”

Dear Diary,

I finally said, ‘No.’ Bye, got to go to the mall with my real friends.
