The Cool Nerd

This is about a ten-year old boy that has a problem and that problem is that he’s a dork and he really wants to be cool.  Also, he really doesn’t want to get wedgies, purple nurples, and most of all swerlys.

One Monday the boy, named Carl, was so depressed that he could barely speak to his own parents.  Then he remembered how every Monday all the bullies would give him purple nurples, swerlys, and wedgies.

When he got to school the bullies walked down the hall.  Their names were Tim, Joe, Joie, and Francice and they were walking right toward Carl.

Carl said, “You don’t scare me.”

Then let’s just say he got to class wet.

When he got home he got so bored that he just rode the bus for half an hour listening to his ipod nano next to Jeremy Hatch. Jeremy Hatch is his best friend in the whole universe.  Carl has known him since he was about 4 or 5 years old and he was in his class.

That Monday night Carl went to the coolest store he knew and got cool.  That Tuesday morning he showed his cool at school. Also the bullies were nice enough to let him join in with them.  Also then he heard a discouraging word—swerly.  Then a picture popped into his head of him giving all of those kids a swerly and then he knew what he must do.

Then Carl said, “Leave them alone.  They’re my only friends.”

Then they knew to run or they would turn into sloppy smelly goo.
